A Visit to the Doctor

28.04.2010, 11.33pm i felt my body was burning, face and eyes were red and sensed that heat was coming out. No matter how much water i drank, my throat felt dried. I asked my mum to take me to the clinic. Singapore Clinic at Trengganu Road.
Sick face. Watery red eyes. So steam!

I visited the doctor's room. The doctor was a young man.
He diagnosed me 1st checked my throat. 2nd my heart beat. 3rd my ear. Results: Fever, swollen throat.

Medicines Prescribed

Lozenges (S.P.Troches) - to be sucked. Sort of sweet. Not bad!
Ponstan. Actually i don't know what is this for. I guess it's for flu. Aiyo, just eat la.
Pargesic / Anarex. This is for my muscle. I told doctor that my left hand had no strength. He said it was because of my fever that caused it.
Antibiotic. Seen it many times.
Benatuss Syrup. For my cough. Nice syrup.

How long would i take to recover? To talk is also a problem.

Red Box Fun

28.04.2010, 12pm Soon Li drove Ling Zhen and me to Gurney Plaza.
Since we hadn't had lunch, plus i was (am) damn sick, we settled at the Gurney Food Court eating Yong Tao Fu.
This was the Yong Tao Fu i had. Before started eating.
These 3 bowls were ours after we gave up eating.

Why did we gave up eating?
The bowl with rice flour(米粉) RM6.30 - Soon Li.
The bowl with crab meat sticks RM6.30 - Me.
The another bowl RM5.40 - Ling Zhen.
They were not cooked! The noodles, sausages, mushrooms, crab meats, fish balls - ALL were not cooked! So not to forced ourselves to go further, we decided to put a stop to those!
I will always remember, not to eat Yong Tao Fu at the Gurney Food Court.
If those we ordered were cheap, i wouldn't even mind. But then it were expensive and horrible. Yark!
We left those bowls arranged just like the photos above, to give some hints to the Yong Tao Fu seller. Let the seller figure it out why didn't we 2 finished up.
At the same time, Chee Yong and her 2 friends ate Nando's. Hmm.. compared to Yong Tao Fu. Lolxx.

Soon Li, Ling Zhen & me met up with Tian Sze at the Red Box reception. I applied as a member of Red Box to get a cheaper price.
Normal price = 20++
Member + Student Card = 8++

We coincidentally met Seng Kheong (secondary classmate) and Wei Han (primary classmate). Wow! Good day huh!!
Later we got in Room No. 6 - a small room. Did not expect that small.
In fact, it was really crowded not all of us got to sit on the couch.
An addition of Chee Yong and her 2 friends came in later.

Red Box Scene

Very happy to be together again.
Me > Chee Yong > Tian Sze > Ling Zhen.

I recorded a minute video. It was dark so not clear enough. Just listen and see what you can.
Fly Away by Tian Sze. She was very high throughout the whole Red Box period, we too joined in the fun. Sang as loud as we could, dancing, shacking, having fun. There weren't a second of silence either.
She made everybody dare to sing and. Without her, i think everybody would be shy and scared.

Thanks to the waiter for taking. Sze blocked my 'peace'. Those 2 boys weren't cooperative enough. You know why?

The total amount needed to pay was RM82.xx. Chee Yong and her friends left at 4pm. Wheres Tian Sze, Soon Li, Ling Zhen & I hadn't satisfied singing. We continued on for half an hour more at the same time we lost our voice for half an hour more. Soon Li was our cameraman then, he captured photos at a very very accurate angle. Wait, i will tell you why.
We were singing 梁静茹 's 没有如果.

I hope we will not forget each other even we go separate ways. I want us to be as crazy as before in secondary school life. We shall keep smiling, keep in touch in the future. Craziness is also a happy event in life.

This was the perfect 1 for Soon Li. Either he knew or not there was one obvious line.
Regarding Tian Sze's eyes, she did that on purposed.

After we were tired enough, we went for a window shopping inside Gurney Plaza then to The Coffee Bean.
I felt pain in my throat because i was forcing myself to sing. I had no voice to talk due to sore throat, but then i couldn't waste the opportunity to sing-along with friends. Worth-ed it i guess.
We 4 shared a Pure Vanilla-L which cost RM13.xx (cheapest drink, according to Tian Sze) and a Blueberry Most Delight Cheese Cake which was RM9.xx (very small piece). All were covered by Tian Sze and Soon Li. Thanks!

We had long conversation and rest at The Coffee Bean. We spent almost 2 hours there.
I sensed everybody were tired after using energy to sing aloud.
As for me, i felt that i will be even sick-er. I really forced myself to sing!
But,
it was a relishing day.

生病了！

昨晚(26.04.2010)就觉得怪怪了，老是头痛和喉咙干。昨晚钢琴班过后回到家就倒在床上睡了。半夜三更醒来，不是咳嗽就是流鼻涕。很不容易在睡回，翻来翻去地，起了又躺。反正啊就是辛苦咯！
起床吃饭，不许吃辣，炸，冷或烤。人生无趣苦苦的。
加上。。。咳～＇他＇变了，没什么理我，关心我了。。我等他，等啊等。。。始终没有一句关心的。该缠我的人却躲到无踪无影，不该烦我的人却像苍蝇那样乱死了！
不但身体不舒服，心也不安。
明天要唱K，能吗？以我目前的状态，怎么出门？待会儿传染病啊！
好想明天康复哦～

Queensbay Mall Walk

A good day. The day 22.04.2010 once again we had an outing after since the pressurize SPM.
Namely: Soon Li, Ling Zhen, Chee Yong & I.
Sheng Hann and Chin Eng 'took off huge planes', last minute. Soon Li's idol - some1 related to Chee Yong (un-tell-able) did not turned up either. So left down to 4 of us.

We reached Queensbay at 12.30 sort of.
We had Pizza for lunch at Pizza Hut Restaurant. The table button kept our hands busy.
As there is only 1 man at the dinning table, he paid for the meal although he ate the least.

Next,
We bought our tickets into the cinema showing Ice Kacang Puppy Love《初恋红豆冰》.Staring many Chinese singers - 阿牛,巫启贤,梁静茹,李心洁,曹格,黄品冠,易桀齐,戴佩妮and张栋梁.

After the show ended, Chee Yong wanted to buy ice-cream from the Mc Donald's vending stall. I then suggested why not order a bowl of ice-cream and share among us.
We took a round in the mall, we finally settled for Baskin Robbins.

Woo~ Chee Yong took tiramisu and i as usual vanilla. I love vanilla!

We chit-chat-ed of our future, our studies and current life. It'd been a long time since we hadn't been so close. It made me remembered of those school days. Time flies~s~
The only 3 chinese girls in secondary Form 5Aman SMK HZA.
Zhen zhen give me 5! We had the same timing getting our eyes closed! Actually, not intentionally.
This were the 4 of us that turned up as promised.
Ling Zhen > Chee Yong > Yee Lin > Soon Li.

Here, we said goodbye to Chee Yong, she gone back home early as she got to prepare for examination. Soon Li, Ling Zhen & I carried on the journey to the seaside.

Great 2nd Driving Test

A very long wait under the earth's weather. In the end, it could considered worth while. I successfully passed the bukit then the side parking and then 3 point turn. Wow... my friends and I were very very very nervous and afraid that we might not passed. Most of us there are to retest. Many people were discussing whether they will passed. It turn out that more percentage people passed. It was about 3pm to approached my turn. I had a difficult time getting down the bukit, but then i still managed it. Everything went on smoothly, actually the tester up there wasn't very attentive. But then who cares... what i wanted was i get my P license.

Mum, sis and I went to gurney Plaza at 6pm.
We reached there and saw many people standing there and there was a small stage set up.
We did not know what actually that was. So not to be bothered.

After shopping, we got out from the Mall and (wow!) many people. What the heck... Performance?? Indeed, ya! 林俊杰 (JJ) came to sort of promote his new released song.
To be honest, I've never been to real live Chinese Star Performance.The event was held by Red Box.
Everyone there was hell crazy, with shouts, screams, laughs...Foreign star, yet so popular locally.

We - whole family went to Hardwicke House for Buffet Lunch.
Sis and I paid for that meal.
I ate half way and i thought of posting up so...

Her, my mother. Today 9.04.2010 is the last day of work for her company - Kurnia Insurance Malaysia Berhad which she served for over 20 years.
Mum and friends made a rendezvous at Old Town Times Square (my previous employer).
10 of us turned up at the place for lunch about 2pm. 1 boy, the rest, girls.
They celebrated farewell and birthday party for mum as she was retiring furthermore, her birthday is tomorrow.

I sat down and rest. Seeing the actions and moves taken place there.
Dan became more helpful. He sent orders and took orders. Never knew he could do such a thing.
Last time, i beg him to help me he refuse and grumble a lot.
Now, without asking + requesting + begging, he came out from bar & toast to help when service crews were busy.

Later at 5, mum picked me up from Old Town and went to her office.
So cleared her things and surrender all the company's belonging.
Her colleague wished her for her best in everything.
Mum tears dropped bits by bits, so did her friends.
I understand, this was what i felt when i left Old Town (just 4 months there).
A very old staff working with my mum. She bought mum a gift (see the blue pack). They hugged and padded each other. Tears felt that moment.

6.15pm, mum and i walk to Old Town New World Park to collect my last month's salary.

1st Driving Test

Hmm.. when i came across publishing this post with the '1st' in the tittle.. i feel ashame and uneasy. Those who succeeded in the test would not have to take again - similarly there will not be a need having 1st , 2nd... It made me broken-hearted + annoyed. It made my mum upset mad. It also made my dad's pocket torn a hole.
Why was i broken-hearted + annoyed ?
Those days putting in great effort, waking up early for training in the school. Practices done with my dad. I was confident actually before i got in the car. I thought i remembered all the steps taught by my instructors, indeed i remembered well. And the day before the test - 5th April, everything went just fine for me. The -hill, parking and 3 point turn was a success. But how come.. At that moment - that important one.. my brain was blank. I passed the hill test and proceeded to the parking. Side parking - the one that i hate now, was how i ended the test for session 2. At the beginning i did what was correct, i safely drove the car inside the parking lot and i reversed.. suddenly, a 'bang' sounded. [Until now, i couldn't figure out what went wrong] OK! the tester said. U may get down now >.< [bla bla bla]

I took route A which is the Queensbay route.

The passing mark - 16 /20. Guess what? I obatined 17/20. That was very close enough. phew!
As i got down of the car, my dad was waiting ^^ i told him i failed parking but i passed in road test. He said it's ok, we've just got to practice a little harder. [Hey excuse me! a little means how little?] After that, we went to the office. Dad paid RM65 for the retest. As my L license expiring soon, he got to renew for me. He added another RM35. That made up to RM 100 in cash. I felt sorry for him but what could i do. What had done has already being done. Wow! RM 100 in a shot, how many plates of spaghetti i could fill my tummy. I still feel guilty towards my dad. He did not show the pain on his face. But i, could feel it inside my heart.
Wondering why are we fellows paying that much amount of money just to get a PASS for driving. Did the driving lessons consumed so much money? Or are we just fools.

Oh ya.. yesterday the training and today, i too met my old friend - Loo Chia Voon from the same secondary school SMK HZA. He used to called me 'dai ka jie'(大姐大) - which means big sis. Now different. We had a little chit-chat la. He left schoold since he was in form3 i think. It has been almost 3 years i've never met him. He grew matured and seemed quiet to me. I was quiet happy and surprise to meet him once again. He straight passed through today's car driving test.

Today 6.04.2010 i not only met Chian Voon, i also met Ah Yi from 5B / 2009 SMK HZA. He was there for motorcycle test. Ah Yi also failed the test. He couldn't get through the bridge.

2nd test falls on the 15th. i hope to do well and not letting me & mum down. And even my dad going broke.

Working Life

The day i started work. Wooo.. Don't misunderstand dude. This is almost similar to Old Town White Coffee. Just, i'm wondering whether it's a imitation of Old Town (no offense).
So since the middle month of DECEMBER 2009, i got a vacancy at the Old Town outlet in Times Square Penang. I worked as a full time service crew that is nine hours per day.

For chinese teenagers, i was the first to worked there after SPM. Then about 5 or 6 days later, Wilson came in. Followed by Kah Kheong and Zhen How. Finally Lit Chen.
Those moment we worked together i was very happy and felt easy when working with them - especially with Zhen How. He was the gentleman of all! Hahaha...

I (& we) passed Christmas there.I (we) New Year there.Many issues raised before Lit Chen, Kah Kheong, Jerry and I threw our resign letters.
For Lit Chen, he went for a new job in celcom centre.
For Kah Kheong, oh man! He is been threatened by superior Mr(Ms) Ivan. Saying that if Kheong can't shift to New World Park, better resign. So Kheong granted that.
Zhen How willingly went to New World Park to work. I did(don't) know why.
The company able to employ a new service crew Khye Sum - TarC student [Holiday Break] before CNY.
I handed in resignation letter stated that my last day fell on a day before CNY (same like Jerry). Why? Superior problem?? (haha). I was then hold back by the Assistant Operation Manager - Ms Tan (one of the superior), i guess due to shortage of staff. Furthermore CNY is approaching. She requested in a polite way.

SO..
I (& Wilson, Khye Sum) passed Chinese New Year there.I (& Wilson, Khye Sum) passed Valentine Day there.

After the busy periods of CNY, Khye Sum and Wilson resigned.
Khye Sum resigned because of continuing his studies.
Wilson, to relax i guess.
Leaving me only me - the young girl there.
Sighs.

The outlet employs mostly foreign workers from nepali.
The bosses of ECLAT Inspiration Sdn. Bhd. brought up 2 outlets which is one in Times Square and one in New World Park.
It'd been almost 4 months working with the company and now i want to have a good rest + have time to do my own personal things.
From the start i worked there, many things changed. The wearing of uniform, name tags, firing of employee, hiring of employee, resignation of employee and such..
It was my very 1st job.

I not only learned how to make drinks and toast, i also learned how to speak nepali language as there are many neaplist colleague.
They are some kind, handsome, cute, quiet and funny.

Long Staff of Old Town Times Square

Suman Tamang - A shorty who speaks hokkien & english well, very cheeky. Elder than me by 1 year. Half service half kitchen. He was transferred from New World Park to Times Square. He calls me mothi and i call him puceh. He is the longest staff in the outlet.

Birendra Yadav - Tall, tough, helpful no matter what, not bad in english. Half service half bar & toast. He was the very 1st nepali teacher of mine. The 1st nepali word he taught me was 'ke bho' (what happened). He is the 2nd longest staff in the outlet. A little kind of bossy. That's what made some of us dislike him. Who?? >> secret...lol

Agam Tamang - Caring. He always correct me from wrong into right. Kitchen crew. My 2nd nepali teacher with the word ' bhoklagio' (i'm hungry). Unfortunately, it wasn't lucky enough to let him and I get together til the end of my working days. He resigned early and went back to nepal due to some misunderstandings between him and the superior so he had to resign. I missed him!Jerry Kee - Outlet Assistant Manager, understanding. He is not like other superiors who only bother about themselves, he calls staffs in for a friendly talk if staffs face problems. He helps me for things i'm not able to do. He resigned just right before chinese new year due to some reasons which most of the staffs there face (superiors' problems).Tan Bee Lin - Outlet Supervisor, friendly. She treats everybody as friends, she jokes and plays with staffs, especially Suman. She did her responsibilities but it wasn't appreciated by the superior. As many problems raised between the superiors and her, she too resigned the same time with me. Don't mind those fingers, just making fun. Photo taken by Birendra on our (Bee Lin & I) last day.

Shree Tapah- He is mote. He was transferred from New World Park, bar & toast crew. His face is always red no matter what. Always with a laughing face, just like me. His english wasn't good, I had a hard time communicating with him, so did he, but then, we both could talk well through a translator - Biren & Suman. He taught me how to make the 1st drink, that is white coffee hot. If i were to break or go toilet, he would quietly come out from bar & toast to help, otherwise not.

Shyam Rai - My sister! Why sister? Oh, because he is a soft going person. I like his character that he is not rough. He was transferred to New World Park and again back to Times Square, a kitchen crew. I helped him washes bowls and plates because he was alone in the kitchen. We had a two person chat in the kitchen so to keep him from being boring (alone).Sorry, i wasn't a good cameraman (women). Anyway, it's cute.

Dhal Tapah - Another puceh other than Suman. He is cute, a kitchen crew. I remembered, i drank all my water, and he was kind enough to fill it up without being requested. Although he was cheeky, i guess that was what that made him cute. He like singing nepali song even he is all by himself.

Dan Babu - This guy, i could say many about him. He is elder than me by 2 years. He is cute, funny, crazy, naughty, stubborn... A bar & toast crew. I still remember that bad event that happened, tobacco.. He felt guilty and kept on apologizing. His english was like Shree, better or worst. But he was clever in words or sentence such as>> looking for what, see for what, jangan cakap banyak-banyak, you 'siao', you stupid, you mental problem... I had fun quarreling with him, i always make fun of him, and in the end he would always complain to Birendra. Since then, i promised him to treat him good and i apologized.This was the day that made me happy and glad. He helped me mop the floor after i requested him. Other days, it was hard to see him do so. I said many thanks to him that day.

Since when, i couldn't remember, he started coming out from the bar & toast, keying in orders of customers. He was very slow in it, but I managed to teach him.

Solimhudin - A bangla, bandu. Although a bangla, but he spoke the best english among all the foreigners. Crazy, kitchen crew. He was the exchange of Shyam - transferred from New World Park and back to New World Park again.

Bee Lin & I 's last day fell on the last day of March - 31st March 2010.
The reasons for us leaving are more or less the same which is... (superiors)
