To Be Happy Or Sad?
at
11:37:00 pm
Ten minutes ago, my handphone rang. It was dad, calling at 11.27pm. He asked many questions that i felt annoyed of such as, when is the mini market and photostat shop downstairs (of my hostel) closing, will the kakak be around or away, when is my roommate going home, who is left in the hostel....................................................................... I thought, i got annoyed because even he asked these questions, what can be done. Could i go back earlier from the bus ticket stated date?
After a while, my thoughts became shamed....I was guilty! Why? Because, dad: "I will go and take you back on Monday or Tuesday." I said: " No need la, bus ticket has already been bought." Dad: " Your safety is more important than money, just that little sum of money. I will go to pick you."
After discussing, he stood firm and i told him to talk to mum first and see what she says. Hung the phone up. And I started to feel bad, what if on the highway there were some unintended happenings and so on and so on... The talk over the phone made me feel, after all, it is already Sunday, three more nights and i will be going back to Penang. I think i can wait and I will wait for you (dad) to be safe.
Sorry for my bad thoughts or you can say selfish thoughts...
Even though the past few days i was really frustrated being left behind, I now realize that you still care about me. And I am willing to wait a few more days...

Chinese New Year I Don't Know!
at
9:26:00 pm
I don't know why am i still in this dead town (Kampar). Only seeing others go in taxis and cars one by one. Where are they heading? Some to airport, bus stations, train station and some straight away back to their homes where they belong.
Why am i still here while i should be at my home, sweet home - Penang?
The roads are so so quiet. How many rooms can i see with lights on from my room's window? About 5! How many human voice i could hear in an hour? About 2! Can you now imagine how lonely i am here, at this moment?
Many of my friends or i should say many people have gone back in advance for Chinese New Year even there are classes on this coming Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Some applied leave and are approved by the university, some applied but was rejected - but yet they went home before the official public holidays, some even more cool - did not apply for leave and they intended to skip classes. It is not wrong to skip just for the sake of Chinese New Year spirit, i understand and support! Their parents too, allow them to be back to their sides. Unfortunately, this doesn't apply to me. I AM STILL AT KAMPAR!
I am eager to know how many students will be present for lecture... hmm... i think tutorial will do. A class of tutorial is about 25 students. A lecture is about 150-200 students. That's why, forget about lecture, let's focus on tutorial will do. I hope i will not be the white sheep among the black sheep(s) (illustration only, no offense)...
I do not know what the hell i can do without friends to hang out with. For the few days back, people started to depart for their hometowns, and i was with my lecture notes and the computer. When i see my housemates and friends taking bags and bags into the cars or taxis, my heart bled. I have to wait until this coming Wednesday which is the reunion dinner night. My bus is at 3.30pm and plus traffic jam (sure for festive seasons) on the highway i will reach Penang when my family starts washing the dishes... Mum says i should not skip classes even when it's Chinese New Year. Dad agrees with her too. In conclusion, i will bore to death.
Tomorrow - 29/01/2011 Sunday will be the last day before Chinese New Year for me to use the computer. It is because, Michael (hostel manager) will be leaving for Penang, as well as kakak leaving for Taiping. The photostat shop (where i use the computer) and the mini market will be close til after Chinese New Year. My laptop is still in Penang!!!!!! Monday and Tuesday i guess i am left with my lecture notes only... sigh~
My first year in university life... changed many things...
Christmas with examination preparations...
Chinese New Year with no one beside me...
A few days back, in Facebook i chatted with Tony (top student in my secondary year), currently in AIMST University, said i should skip class once just for Chinese New Year because he will be doing that too. He said i should prepare the reunion dinner together with my family otherwise, what is the point of naming it a reunion dinner! Mother, i hope you see what he wrote and understand it!
Another case, Yun Bin (my SIFU for foundation), he went back early also even his leave wasn't approved. He lives in Terrengganu.
Nothing i can say or do.
My bus ticket is already stated 02/02/2011 3.30pm Kampar to Butterworth.

No point writing my feeling now. So i just attached what i expressed immediately after i saw my results.
Attached from facebook:
First Status:
Unexpected unexpected!!
I thank God for passing my Micro Macroeconomics,
English, a B+! Impossible!
Is this the consequence i must get in order to pass Micro Macroeconomics?
Reali unexpected!
Bye Bye freaking ECONOMICS from foundation!!! U r free from me & i m free from u!
hope degree wun c u!
early noe, i burn all notes sin...
later make my CNY suai~
Many asked me about my results and i told them. But for some of my friends, they failed some subjects, i comfort them and told them that i understand their feeling because what they felt that moment is likely equal to what i felt for my Micro Macroeconomics.
From all the event and emotions that took place, i learned that

Remembrance School
at
3:56:00 pm
I posted a post in my Facebook class group asking who wants to visit back our secondary school. The place where we have the deepest memories. Sheng Hann, Seng Kheong, Chee Yong, Reuben replied upon the post and turned up at school that morning. A pity for those who are in Form 6- Ling Zhen, Soon Li, Jason, Koshigan, Mukesha and others, they have to attend school. As for Sheng Hann, Seng Kheong, Chee Yong and I were on sem break from University & College whereas Reuben play truant from his college. He told me that he had driving lessons so he would not attend his college class so he could join us.
7/01/2010
At about 9.30am we gathered and went in the school compound. Along we walked, we reminded each other those were the days we usually use this long walking path to classrooms. Time really flies. Quite at the time when the 1st recess bell rang and we saw Mr. Ong Aik Leong (form 3 arts teacher). Chee Yong & I eagerly told Seng Kheong 'your father your father...' Mr. Ong told us that the principal, Mr. Gan will be transferring to another school next two weeks. He urged us to say goodbye to him. He did a lot for our school - implemented new rules that help in disciplinary and upgrade our school to be a better one.
Then, we went to the teacher's room. The 2nd teacher we saw was Pn. Oo Ewe Sim (my form 1 prefect teacher). After talking to her about all our current life, we walked straight to the end of the office to see other teachers. There were Pn. Josephine Khoo (form 4&5 english teacher) together with Pn. Tan Fang Peng (from4&5 add maths teacher) and Pn.Tay Hee Lim (from2&3 prefect teacher). We did not have the chance to talk to Pn. Josephine because she was on her way to her class. We were left with Pn. Tay and Pn. Tan. The same thing they asked us, where are we studying and what course are we taking. And also talked about our tertiary life processes.
Pn. Tan had difficulties recalling Seng Kheong's name. I purposely asked whether she remembered mine, she said of course she remembered.
Next, we went to the office to see our dearest sir, Mr. Tan Hock Lye. He had been teaching us at form 4 and form 5 levels Chemistry and Modern Maths. His commitment towards teaching and his care towards our class (5Aman/09) was as high as the birds can fly. Luckily, i did not let him down in both of this subjects. He was so happy to see us especially Seng Kheong & I because both of us was visiting for the first time after SPM results taking. Talked about our uni or college life (ya again), his son, his doing in school work, year 2010 form 5 students and many more. He said that Mr. Koh will be retiring end of this year. Mr. Tan had difficulties figuring Seng Kheong's name. But what he knew was Seng Kheong was the leader of St. John Squad. Sheng Hann said he was hungry furthermore we missed school food, we invited Mr. Tan down to the canteen too.
On the way to canteen, I asked Mr. Tan why our dear Cikgu Fatmawati went to another school. He said because her application to be transferred was approved by JPN. According to what she personally told me (in Facebook), she wanted a transfer because she had bought a house on the mainland. Cikgu Fatmawati was our form teacher for form 4&5, teacher for Biology and Moral for form 4&5 as well. When we were in form 4, she was new to the school and just a blink of eye, she transferred. Mr. Tan also said that Cikgu Nalini (beginning of form 4 BM teacher) and Cikgu Yusri (art teacher) are going to transfer too and that new teachers are coming in.
just ignore both the middle one...
What a coincidence we met Mr. Gan Hua Beng (school's principal), Mr. Foo Chuat Meng (co-curriculum senior assistant) and Mr. Koh Chin Hock (form 4&5 physics teacher) at the canteen. They were just about to leave after their meal but they stayed back to talk to us. They asked the same thing what those previously met teacher asked. Mr. Gan went quite a distance for a incoming call. So Mr. Foo started guessing names too. Oh my oh my. How come Seng Kheong's name was so difficult for so many teachers... Hmmm... I wondered... Mr. Foo only remembered Chee Yong's, Reuben's and mine. Pity Sheng Hann and Seng Kheong. Same question again came... We felt like we were recorders, replayed and replayed the recorders. Mr. Foo had class and went off after a few minutes-talk.
We walked by each and every stall and noted the differences of stalls... Mr. Tan and Mr. Koh then came towards us. Chee Yong and I kept reminding Mr. Koh for KFC, as he promised us if we get a credit for physics in SPM. He smiled. We sat down on the bench and started talking about the current and then the past. Those were the days when we were in class, when they were teaching us, and we were so playful... Many laughter came... Reuben asked Mr. Koh how was he for the 1 year after we left school, he replied 'without you (Reuben), his heart is at peace'. Everyone laughed. Mr. Koh and Mr. Tan even reminded us about Reuben and Jason sleeping in class while they are teaching... Too many things that i could not write in here...
After Mr. Gan finished with his call, he approached us and asked us how were we and what were/are we doing currently. At some point, i asked him for why he is going to transfer to another school since he done a lot for our school. He answered, he rejected many times indeed for the past few years/months to many schools. But for this time, JPN sent a letter stated that he MUST transfer and a principal from SMK Westlands is coming to replace him. And we continue to talk more about our school's past principals... that is the standard of management and discipline of our school during the control of Encik Sim Jin Tang was very good until the change of control to Pn. Siew Lai Chun. The standard started to fall then. Pn. Siew took over the school in the year 2004, 16 August. We entered the school in the year 2005 it seems she was still quite new to the school.
To me, as well to some others, the school now has upgraded to be proven better than other schools. Mr. Gan added that he had visit some schools like Penang Free School and Methodist Boys School, and founded out that some of their classes are worst than our school. Mr. Tan said that now our school students are good and more discipline. Mr. Gan then said those naughty students were kicked out of the school, leaving behind those adequate behavior students, majority Chinese.
After about 20 minutes, we saw girls buying food, that was to indicate the 2nd recess for upper secondary. Mr. Tan told us to hurry or else we had to queue up later. Mr. Gan then told us to eat and he said he had to clear up his documents and things before he leaves the school. He told us to feel free to see him in his office later on. We bought our food and sat in the teacher's table without being chased by prefects as we did during school days. Together on a round table were Mr. Koh, Mr. Tan, Chee Yong, Sheng Hann, Seng Kheong, Reuben and I. Mr. Koh just ate, Reuben was not hungry, so both of them watched us ate. We talked while we ate. The bell rang, many familiar faces stepped in the canteen... old friends came talking to us, smiling to us...
Chee Yong > me > Reuben > Sheng Hann
All of us walked out of the canteen headed to the office. On the way, we saw Encik Sadri (senior assistant student affairs). He padded Reuben shoulders and asked how were we doing. We did not talked much to him, as he was rushing to get in class, besides we were not close to him during our school days. Secretly... none of us (exclude Mr. Tan and Mr. Koh) liked/like him...Ok~ Now it's no more a secret~
Mr. Tan had work to do so we said bye to him. Mr. Koh too, before he went to class, Reuben said to him 'after retirement, go to be sai gong...' Not long, we saw Mr. Tan Lock Yee (form 2&3 english teacher) walking down the stairs and Encik Nasir (senior assistant) coming from the teacher's room towards us. I did not know whom to approach first. Since, the boys went to Mr. Tan, so Chee Yong and I went to Encik Nasir.
Encik Nasir asked us about our SPM results and what we are pursuing now. After that, we then went to join the boys to talk with Mr. Tan. He said that he saw Chee Yong and my facebook indicating we changed a lot since we left school, especially he emphasized on Chee Yong's 2 in 1 photo (with her boy) and my statuses and photos. I did not know what was wrong with my statuses and photos... Was my statuses filled with too many vulgar words (i think yes), was my photo mainly self-snapshot-ed (i strongly disagree).
The next teacher that came to us was Mr. Lee Chin Lee (disciplinary head). He became so friendly unlike last time he used to direct us this and that. I told Mr. Lee that Sheng Hann's hair is dyed and that Reuben's and Seng Kheong's hair is long, wreck their butts!! Mr. Lee smiled and said we are big enough and we are no longer in secondary level, it is okay.
Later on, Pn. Ho Eeow Khin (teacher for special education) came and talked to us. She seemed to know a lot about my current uni UTAR. First she asked Chee Yong where she is studying, Chee Yong answered Taylors U, she said why did not she go to UTAR as the cert of UTAR is more valuable...bla bla bla... She asked me, i said UTAR; she asked where i live there, i said Westlake, she asked aren't the houses there expensive; i answered not really...bla bla bla... When Pn. Ho talked to the guys, Chee Yong asked me how much my monthly rental is, i said RM 250 single room; I asked her, she said hers RM 800. Lolxx...
The last place we went was the counseling room to meet Ms. Low Li Im (counselor). She was concerned about our current academic performances, and we checked with her whether our paths now are the right ones. She gave us encouragement and advises to enhance ourselves in the the future. After 30minutes, a man came in the room that was for a discussion. So we left the said bye and left the room, no where to head, teachers that should be seen, were seen. We walked through the long walking path again but this time, the opposite direction.
IF we were still in uniforms...
Before exiting the guard house, we took photos for memories.
Time and Tide wait for no man. The clock ticks even when we are sleeping, all i can do is just wish that we were still in school. I want to appreciate the school and the teachers.
But, look forward and knowing how to maintain our friendship are more important than wishing. Be realistic, ya...

Soon Li, Ling Zhen & I went to Queensbay Mall by Soon Li's car. 12pm We met up with Chee Yong together with her boy and Nicholas there. Supposedlym Reuben promised to come but he said he had something to do at home. Whereas Seng Kheong, he called me in the morning at 9 and said he was busy. Ooo...the place he was in was noisy when i spoke to him over the phone. So i guess he was not lying, and i hope so~
We then figured out to eat Kim Gary, but once we reached 250m from Kim Gary, we discussed again where to go because there were too many people waiting for an empty table.
Ling Zhen said Xian Ding Wei, but I questioned. What Xian Ding Wei?先订位(book a table)??
Ling Zhen lead the way, i did not know what she meant. Until she brought us to a restaurant named Xian Ding Wei, a Taiwanese Restaurant. Owh~ the i got it. I giggled with Soon Li.
We ordered our lunch and waited for Sheng Hann to come. 20 minutes later Sheng Hann came... BUT not alone! Damn him! He came with his two friends. We knew that he was not going to join us. He said he brought his Singapore friends to shop as they were going back that day.
I then said, ok, if he is not joining us for lunch, will he join us for a movie? He thought for a few seconds and said NO. Fxxx him! We invited him out and it is always being difficult to get him to agree but he finally agreed but he came...with his friends! What is the difference of him not agreeing to come?! In fact, before he came, we were discussing among ourselves about Sheng Hann would bring his girl together. But it ended up bringing his friends... Watever larh~~
After lunch, we went for a movie - Gulliver's Travels in Golden Screen Cinema.
Genre: Action and Adventure, Comedy
Official Site: http://gulliverstravelsthemovie.com
Director: Rob Letterman
Cast: Jack Black, Jason Segel, Emily Blunt
Run Time: 85 minutes
The movie ended and we said goodbye to Chee Yong and her boy because they have dinner with Chee Yong's family. Soon Li, Ling Zhen & I then planned to pay Oliver a visit in his workplace at Times Square's Hair Impression. Reuben called and said he was free at the moment. So we asked him out too. We went down to the ground floor when a Barbie Competition just ended. The Barbie Competition was mainly for kids and toddlers to dress up beautifully like Barbie to compete. We did not stand a chance to see but just in time to take shots of the Barbie models, in a nick of time when the emcee said the line is closed.
the prince the prince!!!
I just wish that little girl was me...too pity i'm too old to be on there...
Later, we head for Times Square and there came Reuben's call saying that Oliver was on off-day. So we changed our plan to Green Lane McD for a drink. At McD, Reuben did not seem to be happy, his cheeks were downward. As Soon Li and Ling Zhen went to order drinks, I took the opportunity to ask Reuben what happened. At first he did not want to say, but after words and words of consultation (from me of course, the future psychologist), he finally was willingly to tell. All i understood then. He could not join us to Queensbay because he and his father was not on good terms. He earlier told his father that he will be going out on 2/01/2011 but that morning, his father said he must spring clean the house for Chinese New Year. He got angry and a small quarrel took place, he got fade-up and unwillingly cleaned his room.
Reuben took Coke, I took Mc Flurry Oreo, Soon Li and Ling Zhen took Mc Flurry Strawberry.
About 2 hours later, we planned to go to somewhere else because we could not think of anything to do when we get home. Discussed...Discussed and discussed... Conclusion, Gurney Plaza. Reuben rode his motorcycle to Soon Li's house and got in Soon Li's car and headed to our destination.
Walked round and round inside Gurney Plaza...to Popular and computer shop.
Eating time again...Nando's... 1 whole chicken, 2 big rice, french fries, salad and a bowl of vegetables... 1 jug of ice lemon... cost over RM84... very full...
Next, Gurney Drive for the breeze. We sat there and talked about our current life and love. Hahaha... At 9.30pm Ling Zhen said it was time to go home as her mother demanded her to be back before 10pm. So we got back to the car park and home we went la.
About 10 hours outdoor, so tired but happy, but still worry for Micro Macroeconomics...
南无阿弥陀佛 i wan pray hard now!! dun GG econs~
Please please please~I don't want parents to waste money and don't want them to be disappointed!
I don't want to waste my university time and don't want to loose to others!
I know i can't cry upon spoiled milk, but i still cry! because i know that i am wrong!
BUT it derives from UTAR's fault! They arranged a sucking examination timetable!
Fxxx UTAR!
Oopss~ namonamo...
My mum doesn't understand why i did not study for Micro Macroeconomics because she can't comprehend my study method. It is also hard for me to explain to her.Whereas my father understands that a university life is not easy as it has many competitors striving for higher performances!
Yes, dad you are right!
I want higher academic performance! I could not afford to loose to others and let others look down on me.
Monday 27/12/10 - Academic English 2pm
Tuesday 28/12/10 - Effective Communication Skills 2pm
Thursday 30/12/10 - Management 2pm
Friday 31/12/10 - Socialization as a Process 9am
- Microeconomics & Macroeconomics 2.30pm
Why Wednesday no exam? why cant 1 subject on friday move to wednesday?!
My mum said since wednesday is free, you should study M&M...
But for me and MOST of my friends all agree that even though wednesday is free, who would go and study for friday when thursday's subject is not done reading.
People tend to get motivated to study when they are being pushed (in this case exam tomorrow).
UTAR needs to learn management i guess! Arrange a nice examination time table!
Either it split all the subjects equally or put the packed day on the 1st day of exam. Because as i said, people get on their books when the exam is near. If the packed day is on the 1st day of exam, there are a lot of time to prepare for the subjects on the 1st day of exam!
One more lousy management by UTAR is Academic English requires to memorize or to study a lot? It should not deserve to be on the 1st day or it stands on its own for a day!
Either put in the middle or share with some difficult (memorizing) subject, for example management or socialization.
Nuts!!!!
Very angry!!!!

A new year 2011, hello.
My final exam for 2nd semester had just finished on 31/12/2010 4.30pm with Micro & Macroeconomics being the last paper. Ben, Sheng How & I went to Golden Sand for dinner and we talked about academic in UTAR, worrying for sem4.
8pm Sandra came to pick me up and started our journey back to Penang with Wan Sin and Sandra's two friends. At 10pm we reached Auto-City Penang. Oh wow~ that was 2 hours drive. That was a over-sped on the highway. Sandra's friend drove the car fast and i hope no hidden camera took a shot. Mum picked me up from Auto-City's McD at about 10.30pm and went to Tesco for mamak Mihun Goreng and Roti Canai.
Oh ya, on the journey back to Penang, i was worried much about what my results will be.
In mum's car to Tesco, i did cry over cooked-porridge. Mum said it's over just forget about that.
But...Difficult...
Sad to say, the start of this 2011 year is not a happy one for me. I felt difficulties in passing the Micro & Macro examination paper.
For the 1st hope i want for this year 2011 is I PASS MY MICRO & MACROECONOMICS PAPER!!!!! Please, just a close pass i will be satisfied.
