Hair Torture

I did my 1st rebonding in the year 2007 December after Christmas.
It was because my hair was very stubborn. I felt embarrass when letting my hair down.
Furthermore my friends did rebonding and their hair was so smooth and light, so i made the decision to go for a try.
Spent RM 200 for that at the Bincent Hair Saloon along Free School Road.
Although it was expensive, i was satisfied with the result because the hair lasted for about a year and half.
After about a week. i tied my hair and took this photo. How straight was it.
This was what i was talking about. My hair after more than a year.

Year 2010, when i was walking inside Prangin Mall, an old women pulled me over and gave me a talk about their promotions. I saw the promotion papers, they were full of English Grammar mistakes. Lol.. The women talked talked and talked. She said the previous price for rebonding was RM 120. Now discounted to RM 60.
As i wanted to look my best before i go down for studies plus - my hair was not straight anymore, so without a 'NO', i paid a deposit of RM 10 for the rebonding and i said that i will come back another day.

The Day that Took Me 3 hours
Hard and heavy. Oh ya and smelly too!!
白发女 maybe this will happen when i'm old.
The same day after rebonding. Just to show off larh..

I couldn't remember how i bathed after the 1st rebonding. I spent a minute to wrap my hair especially for the fringe. My fringe was always covering my eyes that i couldn't tuck them behind my ears. So i wrapped them gently and carefully before i start bathing.
This was what i did:
Small towel wrapping the hair with a aunty clip.

Don't even dare to mention about sleeping time! What a hard time! i took about 2 minutes to get my hair in proper state before i could lie down and rest in peace.
The hairdresser told me not to wash my hair for 2 days and not to tie them for 2 weeks.
According to my previous hairdresser, he told me not to wash for 5 days.
I decided to follow the advise of the previous hairdresser because that rebonding gave me a successful outcome.

The 5th Day
So happy that i could wash my hair. Previously the few days before i was suffering from hair oiliness which i couldn't stand that.
So fresh, so good! Yeah!
Right after my 1st hair wash and blew dry.
1st outing after rebonding. This was because i was afraid that i sweat and my hair would get wet.
RM 199 to pay on the day of rebonding.
Let's do a little maths -
RM 10 as deposit
RM 180 for rebonding chemicals
RM 19 for hair cut
TOTAL = ???
Paiseh, my maths no good eh.By the way i wanted to tell the hairdresser that she was a sucker.
Hair cut i did not need that! She did it for me!
Actually a day before the rebonding, i went to my usual hairdresser for a good cut. He told me to see him after rebonding so he could trim and correct my hair. He said he will do that free of charge.
But... lolxx...

I wonder how long will this rebonding last me...

  1. hello there .
is the price of rebonding depends on the length of hair ?

  2. i depends on the shop.
some shops they see how long is your hair...
but most of the time, rebonding depends on how good is the chemical used.
the cheap chemical can last for a short time.
the expensive one can last longer.
